Course Info

Harrison Lake Members teed off for the first time in 1947. Since then, Columbus residents have enjoyed playing our beautiful 18-hole, extremely well-conditioned championship golf course. Original Designers Bob Simmons and Gary Kern nestled the course in the rolling hills of south central Indiana near Brown County just west of Columbus. The club and the course are an integral part of the Harrison Lake neighborhood community.

Please don’t let the 6412-yard par 72 layout (5259 front the front tees) fool you. Many players have stood on the first tee licking their chops only to walk off the 18th green shaking their heads. Our course offers plenty of room but demands that you manage your game and execute your shots. The course’s undulations and small raised greens will test your short game. Our greens are smooth, true, and fast enough to get your attention. Don’t lose your concentration or you may walk to the next tee muttering to yourself.

HLCC plays host to competitive events each season including junior and senior events. The course record is held by Indiana University Graduate and PGA professional, Jeff Overton.

Our members take pride in their golf course and help us care for the course by fixing their ball marks, filling their divots, raking the traps and keeping their carts away from the greens.

Over the last three years we have rebuilt all the bunkers, repaved the cart paths, performed significant drainage work on eight holes, removed over 170 trees, and continue to improve the course and the playability every year!

If you’re a member, we hope you agree.

If you’re not, we hope you will come tee it up and see what your think!
